What’s the role?

Due to continued growth within our Special Operations Sector, we are looking for a forward-thinking, Event Support Manager.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all the day to day duties and will help in organising of the logistics required to make the operation successful. Guided by the Event Manager, the Support Manager will assist in all areas needed to carry out the delivery of the service to the customer, and to the highest standard. This will generally cover all aspects of document preparation and ensure that all actions are completed from start to end. This will include the production of event schedules and ensuring that the manager is fully supported both at the events and when working back at base. The role will require working out of hours and may include some travel to events occasionally if required.

This role is primarily based at the Appleton facility and other duties will include administrative, stock taking, control of goods in and out and data input.

What will I be responsible for?

  • All of the above and any ad hoc services that may occur through the normal servicing of the contract to the customer
  • Maintain a clean and tidy appearance of all areas including work desk and any other area designated for the safe storing of the customers items
  • There may be occasions when other unforeseen duties may be required but this will be under close guidance of the Event Manager or Assistant Event Manager

What kind of person are you looking for?

Due to the nature of the role we are looking for a dependable and committed individual, who will enjoy and appreciate the opportunity to travel (when required to work away from home) within this exciting and fast paced environment. In addition to this, it would also be advantageous but not essential to any candidates that are able to speak additional languages.

The successful candidate should have a confident and effective communication ability, have a practical and hands on attitude to learning and be flexible in their approach. The applicant should also be PC literate with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Further training will be offered where specific skills may be required.
