Stobart Ports specialises in the transportation, lifting and storage of shipping containers throughout the UK. Utilising the extensive Eddie Stobart network we are able to service all the major ports across the UK. The main hub of our operations is our modern 50 acre rail connected terminal in the North West. Our Widnes rail terminal currently handles 6 daily rail services from the southern ports of Felixstowe and Southampton and has storage capacity of 6,000 twenty-foot equivalent units.
Stobart Ports’ Inland Container Facility
The 24 hour rail connected facility is operated using a mixture of overhead gantry cranes and conventional lifting equipment. With over 6,000 TEU of storage available and daily rail services from the UK’s largest ports, the facility is ideally positioned to service the North West’s major conurbations of Liverpool and Greater Manchester and beyond.
The facility boasts an in-house security team and is approved by the Department for Transport for both Channel Tunnel services and the storage of high consequence dangerous goods.
