For the last eight years Eddie Stobart have been working with the Scouts, maintaining, storing and transporting their mobile display unit all over the country to help promote the Scouting message.

Every year the Scouts help 450,000 young people in the UK enjoy new adventures, experience the outdoors, interact with others, gain confidence and have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Unfortunately the mobile display unit is being repurposed for use within a Scout County, and as we part ways with the Scouts we are honoured to receive some kind words from their Chief Executive Matt Hyde, who said:

‘We have constantly received excellent service from you, over and above anything we could have expected. The commitment of your drivers during deliveries was unfailing in the face of all kinds of diversity, at all times of day or night.’

The operation was co-ordinated from our headquarters in Appleton, Cheshire; we would work closely with the Scouts’ team in Chingford to synchronise the unit’s movements to and from sites and organise storage and maintenance when it was not in use.

Mr Hyde went on to thank Planner Martin Gilhooley ‘…who has been marvellous with his unflappable, can do attitude.’ And he enclosed a Scout thank you badge as a small token of the association’s appreciation.

We at Eddie Stobart are very proud to support the Scouts and we admire their values. We very much look forward to working with them again in the future.
