Clio Cup superstar Jack Young heads to the iconic German Formula 1 GP in Hockenheim this weekend (26 – 28 July), to compete once again in the Renault Sport Clio Cup Open for Eddie Stobart Racing. Jack is joined by MRM teammates, Brett and Tyler Lidsey, as he aims to make it two Open wins out of two, after his hugely successful trip to Paul Ricard in June.
Jack will line up on the grid alongside 21 other drivers – representing various Clio Cup Championships from all around Europe. Taking to the biggest global stage in Motorsport, Young is hoping to continue his current winning form and take the Eddie Stobart Racing Clio to further success.
Jack says; “I’m so excited to get over to Germany this weekend – it’s always really good fun going away with the team and the racing is set to be full of action.
I’ve been on the simulator non-stop these past two weeks leading up to this weekend, which has put me in the best position possible to take on this iconic track for the first time.
Also, with the weather being warm in Belfast at the moment, it’s going to help me adjust to the heat over in Hockenheim, as it’s set to be scorching!
It was such a good experience being on the F1 package in Paul Ricard, and I can’t wait to do it all over again. This is the stage to deliver the goods and show what you can do.
I think it’s going to be a tough weekend as a whole, as there’s a lot of experienced and competitive drivers on the grid, however I’m going to give it my best to replicate the results of the previous round and hopefully take my Eddie Stobart Clio back to the front of the pack.”
