Stobart’s Finance Team are celebrating after being shortlisted within three categories at the upcoming North West Finance Awards, including the Finance Team of the Year.
The annual awards, celebrate the outstanding achievements of businesses and individuals within the North West finance community.
Sophie Jenkins, Finance Controller, has been shortlisted within the Finance Controller of the Year category, for her leadership and mentoring of the Team. Through her leadership and consistently demonstrating role model behaviours, her whole team are fully committed to delivering a high-quality service to the business and our customers.
Georgia Woodhouse, Operational Accountant, landed a shortlisting within the Rising Star of the Year Part-Qualified category. Georgia has progressed through the ranks in a very short space of time; most recently been offered the role of Operational Accountant for one of the biggest business units within Stobart’s Consumer sector. Before this Georgia completed a secondment to our Group division, providing vital support and information during the successful purchase of the group by Culina.
Finally, the Stobart Finance Team has also been successfully shortlisted within the Finance Team of the Year Category.
In addition to the shortlisting, Sarah Eke was nominated for the Finance Business Partner of the Year, for her significant role in the continued success of one of the largest individual customers in the Company’s portfolio. Sarah was selected for interview for the award, just narrowly missing out on being shortlisted, following stiff competition and a large number of entries to the category.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony taking place on Thursday 8 June at The Kimpton Clocktower Hotel in Manchester.
